The team and an impressive 1st place finish at the Eastside Catholic Tournament and it took everyone involved to culminate the victory. One particular wrestler that stood out due to this determination and perseverance was Tyler White. T was down 16-4 prior to his remarkable comeback and pinning his Lake Washington opponent. After that match, T went on to win two additional matches and finished 3rd in his weight class for the tournament and helping his team to the 1st place team finish.
We got a football player back and Sean McAlhaney didn't disappoint. The physical junior started off the season with an impressive Technical Fall over his Eastlake opponent. He followed that with a first round victory at the Shelton tournament but unfortunately, sprained his ankle in the process and was done for the week.
Senior Ian Crouch was our wrestler of the week as he went 5-1 for the week. The talented Senior placed third at a rough Decatur Tournament and all of his wins came via pin. He is currently 9-1 for the season with 7 pins.
Sophomore Joey Gurke started our season as the Wrestler of the Week. Gurke started his season by going 4-0 at the Clash of the Classes tournament and had 3 dominate pins along the way.
